THINGS TO DO

There's so much to do on Cape Cod! Rent a bike and ride around to one of the many beautiful beaches, stop at the Squire for a pain killer, shop in town, or play 18 at some recommended links!

EAT & DRINK

  • Hangar B Eatery

Unique breakfast spot located at the Chatham Municipal Airport with amazing food and a view of the planes flying in and out.

    Chatham Cookware

Cafe in the center of Chatham with great breakfast sandwiches, coffee, pastries, and lunch options.

    Chatham Filling Station

Classic diner, comfort food. Breakfast or lunch option.

  • Chatham Squire

A Chatham icon! Stop in during the day for a beer and some clam chowder, or late night for some live music and a great bar scene.

    The Beachcomber

Known to locals as 'The Comah', this Cape institution is well worth the drive to Wellfleet. Perched on top of Cahoon Hollow Beach, this bustling spot is known for their Goombay Smash cocktails, Wellfleet oysters, and live music. We recommend starting at the beach before moving up to the restaurant and go during a weekday to avoid the crowds!

    Dogfish Taco Cantina

Fun taco spot and cantina for a quick, casual lunch in Chatham.

    Chatham Pier Fish Market

The best fried seafood and lobster rolls in Chatham. Super casual, take-out window with picnic tables. Step out to the pier for some seal watching!

    Mac's Chatham Fish & Lobster

Casual sit-down and take-out option for awesome seafood, including raw bar, chowder, and fish sandwiches.

    Brax Landing

Casual lunch spot overlooking Saquatucket Harbor in Harwich.

    The Raw Bar

An hour's drive from downtown Chatham/Harwich, this Friedman family staple is closer to the bridge. We may be biased, but the raw bar is home to the best and biggest lobster rolls on Cape. Currently Ross Friedman holds the record for most rum punches consumed in one sitting.

  • Impudent Oyster

Great seafood and an amazing lobster roll in Chatham. Reservations can be made by phone one month in advance.

    Bluefin's Sushi & Sake Bar

If you are looking for a sushi place in Chatham, this is it! They have a variety of classics and chef specials.

    Twenty Eight Atlantic

One of the most luxurious dining experiences on the Cape at the gorgeous Wequassett Resort in Harwich. You will experience a coastal menu from Executive Chef James Hackney - may we recommend the deconstructed lobster entree! Make sure to also grab a drink at the cozy bar Thoreau's.

    The Ocean House

Located in Dennis and overlooking the Nantucket sound, we recommend this spot for fresh seafood. The outdoor Beach Bar is a more casual option for drinks and a bite.

  • Cape Cod has world famous beaches! In general, Outer Cape beaches that are along the Cape Cod National Seashore have chillier water and larger waves as they sit along the open Atlantic. Beaches on the Bay side are warmer and typically have excellent sunsets and tide pools. South shore beaches along the Nantucket Sound are also warmer and have milder waves. Below are some favorite beaches to explore.

*Sharks are fairly common and tend to be on the Outer Cape more so than the Bayside. Be mindful that when seals are spotted, a shark is close by!*

    Lighthouse Beach (Chatham)

This is a short walk from downtown Chatham as well as many of our recommended hotels. No lifeguards.

    Hardings Beach (Chatham)

This beach offers views of Stage Harbor and Oyster River, Bucks Creek and Monomoy Island. Facilities include restrooms and food stations. $20/day to park.

    Nauset Beach (Orleans)

This beach is one of the best for its shoreline and sand dunes. Since it is on the Outer Cape, it is known for its big waves and attracts local surfers! Facilities include restrooms and food stations. $30/day to park.

    Skaket Beach (Orleans)

This beach is on the bay side and has gorgeous sunsets and amazing tide pools. Facilities include restrooms and food. $30/day to park.

    Mayflower Beach (Dennis)

This mid-Cape beach is also on the bay side. At the end of Dune Road, this encompasses three beaches in one: Chapin, Mayflower, and Bayview. Gorgeous sunsets and calm water! Facilities include restrooms and food. $15/day to park.

    Marconi Beach (Wellfleet)

On the national seashore and a classic Outer Cape beach. There are restrooms but no food/drink so bring a cooler! $25/day to park.
